My first impression of Motiva was that it was fresh and captivating from a visual perspective. I found it to be a truly innovative way to use typography and art. When I first saw the Queen Elizabeth Motiva displayed at London Design Week, I was amazed by the emerging quotes that slowly disappeared. I was at a loss for thoughts. What an interesting use of art, typography, and graphics.
South Kilburn Estate Motiva is a representation of my nostalgia and identity. To me, South Kilburn is more than just a place. It is my home, where I was born and raised and where, despite everything, I learned to make the best of a bad situation. I believe there is so much nostalgia, character, and representation of who I am – my dialect, appearance, background, and my story. I know I still have a part to play in this book called life.
