Michel Platnic (1970), born in France, holds an M.Sc. in electrical engineering. As an engineer, He has garnered recognition for his innovative work, obtaining several patents and being the author of numerous publications. Michel’s artistic journey began to unfold in 2007, when he discovered his passion for fine art after exploring drama, performance, and martial arts.
In 2010, Michel graduated with honors in fine arts from the Midrasha School of Art in Israel, where he received the prestigious Shpilman Excellence Scholarship in Photography and was chosen by ST-ART, an incubator project for emerging artists. Continuing his education, he completed the Art&Media “Meisterschüler” program at UdK, Berlin, in 2017.
In 2022, Michel Platnic was honored with the Ministry of Culture Prize for Fine Arts in Israel, a testament to his significant contributions to the art world. Represented by Gordon Gallery in Tel-Aviv, one of Israel’s most established galleries, and by Lara Sedbon in Paris, Platnic lives between Tel Aviv and New York. His works have been featured in exhibitions at galleries, institutions, and museums globally, showcasing the depth and diversity of his artistic vision.
